The BBC is in talks with Google to launch an international edition of iPlayer. At present iPlayer only allows TV programs to be seen in the UK. BBC content is also available on YouTube, but in short clip format only. This step would mean BBC shows could be seen globally in their entirety on the iPlayer platform supported by Google owned YouTube.
