If there is one thing Orange won’t accept, it would be to be behind the times. The company recently released its own Wi-Fi device which runs on batteries. This USB Modem router is a very strong contender to the MiFi moniker produced by other telecommunication companies. Its main strength lies in its ability to function as a Wi-Fi device to connect different gadgets such as laptops and tablet PCs.

To make this new device even more attractive, Orange offers new mobile broadband plans which promise to be very enticing. You can easily buy the dongle at a fee of £49 and then pay as low as £5 a month for 500MB anytime. There are more plans which you can choose to access the web, so make sure to check out what Orange has in store.

Finding the right mobile broadband package might get a bit tricky, but when Orange is there, you don’t need to look elsewhere. Over the years, Orange has made it a mark to provide reliable, speedy and, of course, budget friendly broadband packages. As soon as you sign up for an Orange broadband connection, you will get a USB dongle that can be simply plugged into your computer’s USB port to enjoy access to Orange’s reliable broadband network.

There are two main factors you will need to consider before you make a deal with Orange. First off, Orange offers contracts that can range in duration from a month to 2 years, so you will need to know that prior to signing the contract. Secondly, Orange has limited download allowances that range from being of 1 GB to 10 GB per month. Once your downloading limit is over, you can top up your account to use more.

They are anxious about possible merger of Orange and T-Mobile, considering it as birth of a new monopolist among mobile broadband providers.

Kevin Russell, 3’s Chief Executive, explains that such “alignment of forces” can concentrate 84% of the UK’s 1800Mhz radio spectrum under the direction of one company.

By the way, this year Orange was announced the best mobile broadband company in the UK. So there is no reason to be surprised that this possible merger attracted the attention of the OFT (the Office of Fair Trading).

The expansion of new tablet PCs didn’t pass unnoticed by different internet providers, so mobile broadband through the Apple iPad can be considered as the future trend.

Nevertheless such companies as Orange, O2 and Vodafone hasn’t yet answered the question about their plans connected with 3G broadband services for the iPad.

The days of scary bills for mobile broadband usage are a thing of the distant past- Ornage’s customers are promised that their bills will never be over £40. With Orange network covering of 94% of the UK population and delivering a connection speed of up to 3.6Mb, mobile broadband is enjoyable. Besides the fact that you’ll be able to access the Net in way more places than any other network, here are a few more reasons to switch to Orange:

Pink dongles

Orange didn’t only offered 25% discount for students but rolled out a pink dongle, too. They’re limited-edition, by the way.

Free texts

Mobile broadband deals will allow users 100 free texts per month. So you can text a mate on Wednesday to shop for…

Half price cinema tickets

Films are better shared. Orange Wednesdays aren’t just for mobile phone customers.
